Clinical Counselling

Are you experiencing a life transition that you would like to bring more awareness and compassion to?
Would you like to alleviate what is called “secondary suffering,” that is, the emotions and stories that arise in response to what is happening?
Specializing in Trauma and Creativity from the perspective of Depth Psychology and a Jungian approach, my practice in clinical counselling and supervision, and art therapy offers an archetypal lens through which emotional distress and anxiety can be experienced as a sign of something wanting to come into consciousness.

Dr. Ruebsaat supervises trainees at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute as well as practitioners at the Vancouver Island Counselling Centre for Immigrants and Refugees. She also works with first responders in the Critical Incident Services Department of BC Emergency Health Services.

New Mythopoetic Mentoring Group

This supervision group is designed for practitioners and trainees who are interested in cultivating a symbolic/somatic approach which brings both our clinical as well as personal/professional insights and inquiries into a "dreaming together" container.

This is an invitation to participate in a mythopoetic group process in revisioning supervision as the laboratory for crafting an archetypal lens through which we can see beyond the literal and into the imaginal.

The group meets once a month for 2.5 hours.

Please contact Susanna at susanna.ruebsaat@outlook.com for inquiries. We look forward to hearing from you. Offers required supervision hours for registration for RCC and BCATR.

Fee: $80.00 per 2.5 hr. session.
